Curriculum

Children learn through play. Each child brings varied life experiences, social skills, and characteristics of physical and intellectual development to the Red Apple Preschool. We have developed a curriculum in which all children can succeed at their own pace. As educators, we regularly assess children to better understand each child’s needs. The Red Apple Preschool in Lake Forest, California is based on the California Common Core Standards that will soon be the foundation for education throughout the State of California. The California Common Core Curriculum for Kindergarten emphasizes children learning at individual pace with guidance and support from adults.

Music & Movement Club

Music & Movement club in our preschool aims to show all children that no matter what their ability, they can have fun while keeping fit. With prompting & support, the children will enhance their love of music through song, dance, musical instruments, and movement games. The children will learn rhythm, tonality, beat and melody while nurturing key physical, intellectual, and social development. The children will perform at the first annual culminating family holiday musical to be announced. This club will be taught every Wednesday and Thursday by Nicole Mansouri.

Service Learning Club

The Red Apple Preschool for kids will be working with Lake Forest, Irvine, Laguna Hills, Mission Viejo, and Laguna Niguel to learn about service in the community. Service learning will allow our children take what they gain in the classroom and apply it to real-life situations in the community. In addition to providing an important service to the community our children in the environment learn to interact, communicate and build character.

Potty Training

Toilet training is different for every child. Toddlers are starting to realize that they have begun to be able to do things on their own. Toilet training must be approached with care and patience. As the child begins to struggle we must respect the child and help guide them through it. If we all work together in a proactive, consistent way, your child will be successful in no time!
